Cetus: Studying the ocean maps of the southwest region, it looked like a few reefs were worth researching on the right swell and winds. When exploring, there is always a chance that not a decent photo is captured, which has happened on many occasions. Twelve hours drive one way, cold winds, punctured tyres, faulty jetskis, mechanical problems, a swell that never arrives; the list goes on its deflating; however, it makes the days like this so very special.
Spot X (that's right, I am not giving up the location) was not on the mud map; it just happened to explode on the horizon ( out to sea ). Hopefully, the ski has enough fuel to check it out and take a few happy snaps. Every single wave is different from the last, an ocean fingerprint, an impression or mark made on the sea's surface; I could watch and photograph these mighty waves for hours, the photo a forever-lasting reminder of the journey behind the image.
Cetus - is a constellation, sometimes called 'the whale' in English. The Cetus was a sea monster in Greek mythology that both Perseus and Heracles needed to slay. Cetus is in the sky region containing other water-related constellations: Aquarius, Pisces, and Eridanus
